The client:
Exclusively developed by Smart Rota, the digital break list is a fully automated break management tool designed to help casinos save time & money by automating and systemising a traditionally time consuming task.
The brief:
Smart Rota needed to get across exactly what their product can do for casinos in an easy to understand and trustworthy fashion that would grab the attention of busy casino executives and managers by speaking their language; time and money.
The plan:
It was clear to us that what this needed was credible social proof. London's Leicester Square Hippodrome Casino is one of the most famous and iconic casinos outside of Las vegas and so getting their honest perspective of how fantastic they found the product was going to give us exactly what we were looking for.
Authenticity was really important to the success of this project, and wooden, poorly delivered speeches were to be avoided at all costs. But we weren't worried! Using our expertise as interviewers, we were more than confident we'd be able to extract what we needed from subjects not used to appearing on camera, to get exactly what we needed through real, unscripted interviews with the casino staff. We'd pair this with a classic, glossy casino feel in the visuals, leaning in to the inherent aesthetics of the Hippodrome as a location.
The result:
The client was blown away by the quality we produced. Initially they had approached us looking for an infographic walk though of the product, and instead we provided a short film that reflected back to their clients an understanding of their world and their problems, positioning the Smart Rota solution as a no brainer. The client is still using this video on their website to this day, years after the fact.
